The 2019 IFMA World Muaythai Championships is the 18th edition of the IFMA World Muaythai Championships. The competition are held from July 18 to July 28, 2019, in Bangkok, Thailand. The event will be held in honor of birthday celebration of His Majesty the King of Thailand and after Uzbekistan, Russia, Malaysia, Sweden, Belarus and Mexico, Thailand is honored to bring the championships back to the motherland.
 
 The event served as a qualifier for the 2021 World Games in Birmingham, United States, with each men's and women's team that made the quarter-finals earning points for the qualification. It was the first world championships after International Olympic Committee (IOC) fully recognized International Federation of Muaythai Amateur (IFMA) in the Association of IOC Recognized International Sports Federations (ARISF) in February 2019.
 
The 2019 World Championships is held from 19-30 July 2019 in Bangkok with the slogan “Muaythai Is Coming Home”, setting the scene for the IFMA annual sports forum which includes cultural exchange, sport and social meetings, and of course the main event, our prestigious international tournament. This year’s World Championships will include the traditional Elite divisions and Competitive B divisions (under 23).
 
The 2019 World Championships are listed as an official qualification event for the esteemed World Games 2021 in Birmingham, USA
