Abu Dhabi, 27 October 2025: The UAE National Muay Thai Team continued its remarkable continental performance by claiming three medals (one gold and two silver) at the conclusion of its participation in the Asian Youth Games – Bahrain 2025, marking another milestone in the sport’s rising prominence across Asia.
This achievement follows the team’s exceptional performance at the IFMA Youth World Championships – Abu Dhabi 2025, where the UAE topped the overall standings with 96 medals (40 gold, 21 silver, and 35 bronze), solidifying the nation’s position as a leading force in Muay Thai regionally and globally.
These results reflect the unwavering support of the UAE’s wise leadership and the efforts of the UAE Muay Thai and Kickboxing Federation, chaired by H.E. Abdullah Saeed Al Neyadi, in nurturing a generation of champions capable of competing at the highest levels and proudly representing the nation on the world stage.
Highlights of UAE Athletes’ Performances:
- Esaam Khalil – Gold medal in the 57 kg combat category (age group 16–17)
- Aya Al Shaari – Silver medal in the 48 kg combat category
- Aziz Al Hammadi & Rakan Yousef – Silver in the Mai Muay team category (age group 16–17)
